I got a book in the early 80's called God Reveals the Identity of the “Beast,” written by Bob Fraley and published in 1978. In it he claims to have gotten a revelation from God that the United States was the beast of Revelation 13. Part of that revelation was the number 666 which he claimed meant United States Empire because each of these words have six letters.
Although at the time I was intrigued by the book, in the early 80's it was difficult to believe. I kept the book anyway and even bought two subsequent books later from the same author and kept them in my library. The last one was published in 1995, and they became even more convincing. Although I still doubt that the U.S. is the total fulfillment of the beast of Revelation 13, I think the U.S. is very involved in helping build the New World Order. I do believe Mr. Fraley was hearing some things from the Spirit on the U.S. involvement in the beast system, if not itself the beast. It is also undeniable that this nation has certainly become more and more evil.
I am very interested in what end-time role the U.S. plays in the world, because it will eventually effect all of us personally in some negative way. It seems more and more evident to me that the end-time beast that comes out of the sea is an attempt at one world government through the United Nations. The Rockefellers donated the land for the United Nations building in New York in the 1950s. Leaders involved in pushing the New World Order have admitted that the people of the U.S. with all their guns are the only thing left stopping the full implementation of one-world government. However, I see our government doing all it can to weaken the power of the American people and take away their guns to help create this New World Order. So while the people of the U.S. may be the only thing left resisting the New World Order, our government, as well as many wealthy bankers and business people, seem to be doing all they can to bring about a beastly world government.
William Branham, a minister who is credited with the faith healing movement after WWII, saw seven visions in 1933. The first one was that the dictator of Italy, Mussolini, would invade and conquer Ethiopia. That happened. The second was that America would go to war with Germany headed by Hitler. That happened. The third was about the three isms: Fascism, Nazism, and Communism. He said the first two would come to nothing, but Communism would flourish. That happened. The fourth was there would be great technological advances right after the war. He saw an egg-shaped car without a steering wheel that drove itself. That already exists. The fifth involved the moral decay of women and them wearing less and less. That has happened. The sixth and seventh have not yet occurred.
In the sixth vision he saw a woman in great splendor come to power in the United States. She was very hardened, cunning, and wicked. She had complete control over the people. Branham himself did not know if this would be a literal woman or figurative. He speculated it may be the Catholic Church. However, this vision is interesting in that we may soon be getting our first woman president, who has become very rich through her cunning and corruption.
In the seventh vision he saw the ruins of the United States as just a smoldering heap of wreckage.
While I think Bob Fraley’s books arguing that the U.S. is the beast of Rev. 13 that comes out of the sea are intriguing and even plausible, it seems to me (as well as some others, who have written books on this subject) that it is more likely that the U.S. is a fulfillment of Babylon of Revelation 18. I don’t think this will be the only fulfillment of Babylon in Revelation but possibly on a national level. (I think there may be a fulfilment on an international level too.) In the book of Revelation, Babylon is depicted as a woman who is a harlot. In the Bible many times God’s unfaithful people are called a harlot. We used to be a Christian nation but as a nation have now become very unfaithful to God. Nevertheless, I am still very impressed with all of Fraley’s prophetic insight of how evil this nation would become, even if it is not the beast.
It is interesting that we now have a woman running for president who has just been quoted as saying,
“Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will,” she explained. “And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed. As I have said and as I believe, the advancement of the full participation of women and girls in every aspect of their societies is the great unfinished business of the 21st century and not just for women but for everyone — and not just in far away countries but right here in the United States.”
She is already calling for those who have “deep seated . . . religious beliefs . . . to be changed.” She is already coming against the people of faith who are devoted to the God of Israel. So how fitting it would be to get a woman president that leads this country to its destruction as is prophesied for the end-time Babylon. However, whether Branham’s prophecy of a woman coming to power in the end is a literal woman or a figure of something else, like this nation, remains to be seen.
I never cease to be amazed at all the self-destructive things this government is doing to seemingly destroy the nation at an ever-increasing rate. I wonder, if in the history of nations, any government has ever tried as hard to destroy itself like this. I have never heard or read of it before. This is another reason I don’t think the U.S. is the end-time beast of Revelation except maybe on a national scale. Our government seems very willing to destroy our nation in the interest of building the New World Order—which seems to be the real beast. The self- destruction can only be explained as being satanically inspired.
Satan comes to kill and destroy. He hates this country because it was founded on Christian principles, and churches have done a lot of good over the centuries in the rest of the world. Therefore, he has slowly and very cunningly taken over almost every segment of our society like a giant octopus with its invisible tentacles reaching every branch of government, business, schools, entertainment and as many private lives as it can. Now evil is openly proclaimed as good and good as evil like Isaiah prophesied. Fraley says this country is where “Satan's throne is” (Rev. 2:13). I think that would be difficult to argue with at this point, and he was claiming that in 1978!
The senate passed a bill for a national ID card for immigration reform in 2015. Congress is now being pressured to pass it. If so, it will be the first time in the history of this nation that a national ID will be required for any American to hold a job. We seem to be getting incrementally closer and closer to a system spoken about in Rev. 13:16-18,
He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666 (NKJV).
We have already seen the beginning of persecution of Christians in this nation with all the law suits against companies who refused to make a cake or provide flowers for gay marriages against their religious beliefs. Now the very definition of marriage is being debated in the Supreme Court. If the U.S. turns out not to be the beast or Babylon of Revelation, it sure is trying hard to be a false imitation. One thing is certain at this point: We have become an beastly nation by biblical standards.
